What is Flat Fee + per Seat Pricing?

This pricing model combines a recurring flat fee with an additional fee per seat. Flat Fee Pricing means that your customers get charged the same base fee every billing cycle. The “Seat” in per Seat Pricing refers to the seat of someone sitting in front of your software using it.

The flat fee remains the same when your customer adds seats, but there is a fixed cost for additional “seats”, which is most often less than the flat fee.

Why this model

Your product is complex – the entire suite of tools and services provides a lot of value even for 1 user. But that value also goes up when you add additional users to it.

So a flat fee + per-seat pricing ensures that you’re getting the most revenue possible from having a highly valuable base product, and that you’re able to monetize the additional users added.
